Some members of Congress, looking for ways to affect the price of food, want to see if eliminating the support of ethanol would have an impact, but the high price of oil -- not government incentives -- is moving ethanol production, some experts say.

USDA Crop Reports Preview

The May round of USDA reports will be intensely analyzed by the futures markets. The World Agriculture Supply & Demand Estimates (WASDE) will weigh in on 2008-09 ending stocks figures that may confirm or refute traders' outlooks for new crop corn, soybeans and wheat. The current expectations are bullish for corn.
